BLACK !!!

In my dreams I see what cannot be,
In my eyes I see what I cannot have,
In my hands I hold what I cannot hold,
My feet walk through unending roads....

My thoughts roam in places which I never thought of,
My heart beats for things I never cared before,
My soul longs for the past which was never meant to be,
My mind yearns for the future which I know I’ll never see...

Amidst all this chimera I am straying away,
Straying away to the other side..

My fair share of memories...

Some things are very difficult to confess...to admit!!
& memories are not created..they are made un-intentionally..!!!! Ofcourse everybody knows it..i know i am doing "bakwaaS"...it is easy to wet eyes...But to vent out tears is a difficult task...especially in front of those "jo idiots(of course my frnds) samajhte hi nahi ki wo kitne important hai".
i dont how i am gonna make it out..without those stupid jokes..without that piece of "roti" which seems sufficient for my twisting intestines...that bakwaas...those stupid bussiness plans! & that all bullshit....it is actually difficult!!
i know we can not even cry in front of each other..u stupids wont even lend your shoulder to me!!!
the night before exams...those crazy love interests..& those mad ideas!!!
those similar fantacies..those vacant staring!!
those night-outs..those hasty prescriptions...i know i am desperate to grab this last time!!!
i am carefully avoiding the words like "miss u".."wont forget u"...because as u people say...my state of mind lies in a "denial mode".
luv u all!!!!!!!!!

LAST PAGE OF MY NOTEBOOK...

Whenever any thought came into my mind,
I wrote it on the Last page of my notebook.

Whenever the lectures were boring,
I played games, used to draw pictures
on the Last page of my notebook.

When I was angry with anyone and wanted to flood my anger,
I used the Last page of my notebook.

When I discovered I was in love with him/her,
I sheared my thoughts with the Last page of my notebook.

When I was really wrong,
and I wanted to confess it to someone,
I told about it to Last page of my notebook.

When i wanted not to forget some points taught by my teacher
i discussed it with Last page of my notebook.

Still many things Are there to be written
on the Last page of my notebook.

How IPL got me dumped???

Oh boi! am I excited!!! like craazy!! IPL's third season is starting and my team Kolkata Knight Riders match. (Don't worry I am keeping up with each ball's updates right now, thanks to youtube!)

"If you are a normal Indian male, you gotta be into cricket!". Well, even if I don't seem normal at all, I am definitely male! And hence the attraction.
So, this season of IPL reminded me of a conversation I had with my girlfriend last season on the same. (Yes ladies sorry to break all your heart I am not single! And guys even a maniac looser like me has a girlfriend and that too a sizzling hot one! Oh! you loosers *Evil Laugh*) Anyways the conversation:

ME: Hey! I gotta go, the match would be on right now!
GF: Match?? which match? India's match? How many matches do they play in a year?
ME: No dumbo! Its Kolkata vs Hyderabad!
GF: You even watch the domestic matches? Gawd your so vella!
ME: Domestic? Oh babe! Its IPL season! Don't you know I-P-L!
GF: Yeah I do! Courtesy my bro! He is always talking bout it. But whats the big deal? Its still domestic.
ME: No, it is not! Its a league! Indian Premier League!
GF: Indian league.........
ME: Duh! There are international players too!
GF: *confused* I don't get whats the fuss about this IPL with you guys!
ME: *sigh* Okay I'll explain...........just lemme check on the score then on my cell.
GF: Okay!
ME: Okay so IPL has 8 teams Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Punjab, Rajasthan and Bangalore. Each team has some Indian players, and some international players. depends on which teams franchise buys whom.
GF: *shocked* They buy players!!!
ME: Umm.....actually they bid.
GF: Human trading..............isn't it against the law?
ME: errrrr.....Its not human trading!
GF: *blank*
ME: Drop that okay? So you get the rest huh?
GF: umm......Indian and international players make teams and play each other........
ME: Yes! And bollywood stars and big industrialist like Vijay Malya and Ambani have bought these teams! Sharukh Khan, Preity Zinta and  Shilpa Shetty too have bought some teams.
GF: I know SRK has team named KKR!
ME: Yes! The Kolkata Knight Riders!
GF: There are our players in each team?
ME: Yes.
GF: So how do you know which team to support and cheer for?
ME: You pick any one or maybe more...........depends on person and somewhat on the city they live in or belong to! I support Kolkata.
GF: Isn't that regionalism?
ME: NO! Why would it be that?
GF: Instead of supporting the national team, everyone is supporting a team of his city or region.........what else is it, if not regionalism?
ME: *blank*
GF: See its not good.........its bad. You should not watch this IPL infact condemn it for spreading regionalism and spend more time with me! *smiles*
ME: Its not regionalism! Its Cricket for Gawd's sake!
GF: So is Womens cricket! Do you ever watch it?
ME: Now what does Womens Cricket has to do with all this?
GF: Do you know who is Jhulan Goswami?
ME: *dumb stuck*
GF: You don't! And you say you are a cricket fan! She is the captain of Indian Womens Cricket team!
ME: Thats not cricket knowledge! Thats IQ!
GF: IQ?? And the captain of mens team, this would be IQ too?
ME: No! It would be...................instincts.......its so natural to know.......like the sun rises in the east!
GF: And its not natural and normal to posses knowledge about womens cricket team?
ME: No! That would be despo! *Laughs*
GF: Thats so sexist! You are all the same...............Male Chauvinist Pig! I thought you were different! You all are sexist and Regionalist. Damn you male species! Rot in hell all of you and your IPL!
And she left me, not before she swung her heavy leather bag (stuffed with things I can't, won't, shouldn't, couldn't imagine) in the direction of my chauvinist-pig head!
ME: *mouth open* *eyes wide open* *state of shock* *hair messed up* *shattered rep n ego*
Now, what the hell did I do to piss her off? Explain a girl about the greatest discovery/invention by an Indian and you are a Male Chauvinist Pig!!!! Damn you girls are strange!

(Ladies, I am single now! Boys, stop ROFLing at me!)

Question I'd like to ask the ladies after this incident:
  1. Why do all men become "Male Chauvinist Pig" when they do not comply according to your standards or shall I say will?
  2. Why punish our dear IPL to rot in hell when we are the Chauvinist-Pig and not the poor innocent IPL?
  3. Will I live to see tomorrow's sunrise after publishing this post?

Anyways, KKR won the match against DC that day! YAY!!!!! *happy dance*

kill your boredom

Hello friends,

This time I am going to share with you some of the funny games I played while on an outing or during my shopping with family. The fact is that whenever you go shopping with women (my mom and sister)...you had to wait a lot as they take their sweet time. So I had devised a plan to escape my boredom during this time!!...

It just started as an innocent observation....I used to watch the people coming for shopping, their attire, accessories...and above all their personality...(it only include how they looked to me in my brief span of my attention). Then I used to rate them out of 10 in fashion....Its a well known game though...but I hadn't had that idea then.

So slowly it just became like a survey...say in 10 minutes..I watch 100 people and I would found out that 40% are below 5 and 30% are within 5 to 7 and other 20% are from 7 to 9. 10 I rarely got....surely it was my own view and my opinion doesn't matter much in national survey ( I don't follow any particular fashion nor I am interested)..It was just their personality...enhanced by their accessories that I checked.

Another curious thing I noticed was that the youngsters mostly try to look fashionable ....(sometime wearing things that doesn't suit them but yet had attitude)..some were looking for attention and some are giving a damn for others..well their are a lot other thing I tried to obverse and rate yet I wasn't that good in others. Then their is another one I tried when I was riding my bike. It was like how many guys are travelling with a 100 cc bike and how many in 125cc or more...and result is all known...100cc bikes were very less or older but these new pulsar,CBZ ..these were the new trends of guys who wana look cool...but then I had to give attention my driving instead so it didn't worked as a survey.

anyway, These are few interesting things to observe people that really kill your boredom..hope you enjoyed the read and please share with me your ways or games you played in such situations....!

A poetic story

Hello friends...

guess if I had to make a story of a gal being with his boyfriend for some mistake..something big off course..So, what could be their poetic conversation ...lemme try this one..new thing for me so I will be happy of your reaction in it!!

It's guy's pleading to her girlfriend :-

"I am sorry, ohh me..
the mistakes I had done..
I confess all wrongs..
girl don't leave me..
being so deserted...all I feel!!."

"I know you will not forgive..
nor these flowers or cards..
clock swings, heart twinges..
waiting over as you flings,
ohh baby, why are you angry..
why are you moving away.."

It's her reply :-

"I believed you blindly..
didn't doubted your intentions,
even if you were far,
being so popular at bar,
all the gals around you!!"

"waited for you on dates..
never asked a question for delay..
each time you lied..yet I had faith..
today no more..not any more!!
I loved you but it's goodbye!"

Guy panicked for he had discovered the true love...

"I know I was wrong,
taking you for granted is all I do,
but I am ashamed..guilty now..
another chance is all I wish now!!.."

"I will not disappoint you,
faithful is the least I could do,
I am genuine, I am true...
I love me...just don't go!!"

Gal had made her mind..and he deserved the fate!!

"I would savour the moment with you.
remember the days I lived,
maybe I would miss you some days,
yet I will not forgive ...
it's your fault that I had to leave!!"

So, The moral of the story is...never hurt those who loves you!!...
{another one is..don't double cross..Be happy with one girlfriend ....correct yourself before it gets late..OR....make sure they don't catch you..ha ha}

How's this poetic story??

Media or us...???

We always think that the media is the fourth pillar of democracy...it gives us the news we required to know. But still there are a lot of exaggeration in any story it shows..just because competition, getting T.R.P...it had its effect on the people who blindly follow it!!

Take the fact-->

say why there is increase in incidence of attack on Indians these few years ...why there is growing level of insecurities between them??

why people like Raj thakeray, get publicity and popularising them to such an extent that there are ill thoughts about people from other region??..don't they see sooner or later same treatment they will get from other states??

How come a state of Telangana demand get the front page just due to someone fasting for it??..
sooner it led to riots, strikes and all...is that required??...that too against a government that they choose??...

There are a lot of such incidences where Media popularises things which are not good for the society just to increase their viewership!!...They would never take the blame to themselves just like a politician playing dirty game trying to show us that they were right but the situation showed them wrong.

Playing with emotions...an easy method to get instant fame, publicity but having a far after-effect!!...what really saddens me is that we the people, the responsible citizens living here easily fall in these traps. Its not always money for us but the faith we have on our leaders, we idolise them...not seeing the simple fact that they are too like us..humans with both good thing and bad thing in them. They too carve for money, and they also could take the meaner route for the same...we on our part must behave more responsibly and not to react to these small issues.Med
It will at least stop making it big!!..

Now come to Media..what we need is a regularisation of issues to be shown or not to be shown..
everything should be scrutinised and simpler, intelligent ways should be applied to display it!!..In a way that it wouldn't affect us so much that we would be on streets protesting for it.
Lets hope we would be responsible enough for this..!!

It not all about media, it's all about us.

Economics of Relationships

Before you read further let me make a disclaimer!
The text written below has multiple connotations, interpretations and significance which would vary at an individual level. It might appear to be the stupidest thought to a few, wacky to some and geeky to most people. And there might be a small section of people who understand something of game theory and probably would be able to understand the pervasiveness of economics and its application not only in business but also in personal life.
But as usual it doesn’t offer any solution to the problem. It identifies it and goes deep into the rational of why the problem arises at the first place. Probably identification is the first step towards reaching a solution.
At the same time it also deals with the rationale of the irrationality of the so called rational human behavior.
It tries to understand why some good people remain unhappy in relationships while many not so good people are found to be much happier and relaxed.

Let’s first understand the application of game theory in the world of relationships and seek an answer to the observed behavior of people around us.

Now in the above matrix, if one out of the two is not serious, while the other is the resulting pay off is highly unfavorable to the one who is serious. This is very evident and self explanatory. It’s always the one who is serious and gets dumped cries, while the other partner after having all the fun and frolic moves ahead. Now as a logical human behavior both partners should be serious and committed to each other to attain maximum satisfaction and utility. In economic terms both being serious should have been the “Desired Equilibrium”

However here lies the catch and a proof that the behavior of people might not be always rational and there will be various occasions when they settle for the 2nd best optimal solution rather than the best available opportunity.

In this case there is an intrinsic fear in both the partners that if the latter is not serious, the former would have to pay a heavy price. And hence both of them end up being not so serious in their relationship. This leaves them with no real gains and utility.

We all know that the best utility ad highest level of satisfaction would have been achieved only when both the partners are serious and that is the ideal and rational expected behavior. However the application of game theory helps us understand the irrationality in the otherwise rational human behavior.

Thus we see how pervasive Economics as a discipline is. For all those who have no background in economics this was possibly the easiest explanation of the application of game theory in our everyday human life.

This is what I call as “Economics of Relationships”

P.S. The origin of thought came after I saw Arvind devastated... :P

Rationality vs Fate

Ever since I got the essence of the two very crucial words in everyone’s life, surprisingly enough I have never been able to place the 2 of them on the same line of thought and attitude.
Rationality and Fate.
Can a rational human being ever believe in fate? Or can someone who believes in fate be ever rational? Or to be more confusing as well as precise can a single individual be both rational and believe in fate?
The moment I make an effort to look for an answer, my mind, my heart and my senses all collide and the result is a complete chaos just like the outside universe and thus maintaining the much needed equilibrium of life. At a personal level I would rather abstain myself from ever believing in the concept of fate. However this doesn’t imply that I always make an effort to be rational. This brings me to yet another question. Does the absence of one of the characteristic imply the presence of the other? If not what do we call a person who is neither rational nor does he believe in fate?
The degree to which my mind is cluttered now can be explicitly seen in how the above thoughts have come out to be. I myself am now trying to figure out what exactly do I plan to prove or conclude. And to add to the misery, I put up a simple question to myself!
Define rationality and fate.
And the sad part is I genuinely do not have a definition which could possibly fit in the plethora of varied perspectives of life. The very basic issue is when we proclaim an action to be rational or otherwise we do it on the basis of certain assumptions, which are mostly implicit and seldom do we realize their presence in our so called logical reasoning. So if one fine day I start questioning those assumptions and rate them on the scales of their rationality, we will reach situation where we have no assumptions to make which isn’t as rosy as it seems. Lack of assumptions could possibly imply an absence of a ground to build the foundations of rationality.
Thus when we make an assumption and then build up the network of rationality, we have already left the success of the process to its own fate of doom or existence. And later when we humans tend to believe that we are rational we fight against those who believe in fate, sometimes even derogating and questioning their rationality. Don’t know about others but I do it with myself. Probably this is the moment where even existentialism can’t come to the rescue to wage a war against fate. And hence I end up from where I started. The questions still remain unanswered. Probably they are meant to be just questions to raise yet remain unanswered or evoke a thought process. Plausibly this is what that has and will continue to lead to the evolution or devolution of human mind.

-OK :)

Back to Gilli Danda & Kabbadi

New era of play station had begun. Sony introduce games like Gilli danda, kancha, kabbadi etc. the main aim of Sony to behind these games is to make aware child about our Indian ancient games because in city children are addicted to game like Underground, Call of Duty, CS, GTA and many more.
Sony got this idea after success of Hanuman: Boy Warrior.
The whole game packaged name is Desi Adda: The Games of India. The game can be played on PS2 and PSP. This game would be available in four languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil.
Now, what is this game actually?
The game package involves a potboiler storyline along with six endemic Indian games. Avinash, an NRI, has returned to his grandparents’ village. He needs to recapture his ancestral house from the village head, Garjan Singh. He also needs to facilitate the marriage of Gowri and Gopal that Garjan Singh is opposed to. To meet these ends, he needs to win six games—pachisi, a chess game; aadu puli aatam, a hunting game; kite fight; kabbadi; gilli danda; and dance game, which includes garba and bhangra moves.
One of the leading Indian game studios GameShastra, took 16 months to develop this game for Sony.
GameShashtra’s CEO, Prakash Ahuja, hopes high for the success of Desi Adda but is cognizant of the challenges it faces. “Indian kids have grown up playing American games and changing the monster-slaying mindset is going to be tough,” he said
Mr. Ahuja at last shared “The idea behind packaging Indian games is that they are both relatable and at the same time slightly exotic for the urban kid. A pachisi may be a simple chess game but today the board itself is unavailable.”
By this, what is actually Sony doing? (This is my personal perception)
Markets are going tougher and tougher by day and everybody wants to survive in it so best way to survive in market by doing things differently but not different things. Sony is spending huge amount of money to advertise these games. And by introducing these types of games they are getting more one advantage is that even older people can play it and recall their childhood.

Finally "Power to You"

Vodafone changed its tagline so many times in last many years. Initially its tagline was “How are you?”Then it came with another that I can’t able to recall and then it switch to the “Happy to help” and now finally they came with another new tagline it is “Power to You”.
What does it really mean? This is the only one company in the world which changing its tag line frequently no other does. if we see just analyze this all tagline with general sense it shows us that initially “how are you” means just call by your Vodafone card and ask another person how are you. Means they are not focusing on other service except only calling.
But with the passage of time they came to “happy to help” means now they are not more involving in providing calling services better but become consumer oriented and feel that if they want to stable in market than providing better services to consumer is vital.
And Finally in November they introduce new tagline “Power to You”. Chief executive Vittorio Colao said “it is not the brand talking any more and telling the customer what to do…it is the customer who will decide, I am trying to steer the whole company in this direction”.
According to me “Power to You” means they tell consumer fearlessly than if u are not satisfied with the service of our company than go with another company because “Power to You” [:P].
But here Vodafone is making a blunder because most of the people in India still not aware about its new tagline. They have to spend huge amount on to inculcate their new tagline in their consumer’s mind. And they are only spending 600 millions all over the world.
“Power to You” what does it really mean?
“Power to you” expresses Vodafone’s desire to offer customers better choices and to support them, through mobile communications, to take advantage of life opportunities. “Power to you” reflects the promise to make things simpler for our customers and to offer them unique advantages with Vodafone.

Eiffel Tower

In the late 18th century Eiffel Alexander Gustav Made this Eiffel tower. After the war with Persia France was totally destroyed and in late 18th century there was a industrial movement in France so in the memory of that movement the Govt. of France want to built something. The Govt. of France got lot many proposals for so many things to build but there was one unique proposal from Gustav which they liked most. Gustav also had designed interior of “Statue of Liberty” so Govt. called him to explain his all plan about Eiffel Tower. He explained his whole plan very well to them but at 11th hour govt. decides to build something else and they requested Gustav to build something else from the “Elephant of Iron”. But Gustav rejected it. He was so determined about his plan. After so many other plans govt. again came to Gustav and told him to build “Eiffel Tower”. When People of France came to know this they revolted it very hardly. But Gustav Know that his plan will be success in future so he ignored all the people and carried his work. When Gustav presented his estimate to build Eiffel Tower to Govt. of France, The Govt. passed only 20% of it and told Gustav to managed remaining amount. Gustav had gut feeling about Eiffel Tower so he managed remaining amount by his self and build Eiffel Tower. And in late 1889 there was a world fair in France. So Gustav wanted to finish the work of Eiffel tower in that year and he did and in that world fair this Eiffel Tower became center of attraction and extends the beauty of Paris. At that time People of France also praised work of Gustav and till now days this Eiffel Tower remain as same as it was.
Gustav also made one Restaurant at a height Of 300 meter so people can enjoy food while taking a view of Paris from a peak of Eiffel Tower.
This is how entrepreneur works….!!!!!

Leaders!!

“At the age of seven, a young boy and his family were forced out of their home. The boy had to work to support his family. At the age of nine, his mother passed away. When he grew up, the young man was keen to go to law school, but had no education.

At 22, he lost his job as a store clerk. At 23, he ran for state legislature and lost. The same year, he went into business. It failed, leaving him with a debt that took him 17 years to repay. At 27, he had a nervous breakdown.

Two years later, he tried for the post of speaker in his state legislature. He lost. At 31, he was defeated in his attempt to become an elector. By 35, he had been defeated twice while running for Congress. Finally, he did manage to secure a brief term in Congress, but at 39 he lost his re-election bid.

3 Idiots

Movie 3 idiots, the one of the best movie of year 2009. This movie changes the definition of “idiots”. According to this movie, idiot means a person who is maniac in his own self, a person who is clear about his goals and very straight forward.
Another important thing which I observed in this movie is all of those who do MBA after doing engineering are” gadha” (donkey). Remember the dialogue of amir khan about fiancĂ© of pia (kareena kapoor) “pehle engineering kiya fir MBA kiya aur ab bank me job kar raha hai sale ko khud ko hee malum nahi hai ki use karna kya hai”

“Successful V/s Unsuccessful”

If we take example of any examination, a cricket match, or anything we appreciate the one who come first means who is success no body is ever thinking about whom is second or who is defeat. '

Here what I am trying to say is the person who is came second is more experienced than the one who is come first because whoever is come first is don’t know anything about his mistakes.

In India we appreciate only winners but not looser and if country like US they appreciate both. The same thing happen with Steve jobs when as a marketing head he design model of Apple III and his model was completely flunk and BOD of APPLE Inc. removed him from his job but later he joined NEXT and in NEXT he was really making wonders at that time APPLE realized that they made a big blunder by removing Steve jobs so they invited him again to join APPLE Inc.

So what is essence in being unsuccessful?

By being an unsuccessful you come to know the all glitches that made by you as well as you come to know that by doing what you can really improve?

So if you are unsuccessful then don’t worry just try & try, success will come automatically.

HAPPY HOLI

  Hi all,

May you have the most blessed holi festival than you ever had.

May it be full of fun,joy and love.

May you be as colorful as the festival itself or even more.

Lets all have lots of fun.

-Ouchitya Karan and Chavi Singla (The Bloggers )

Bollywood

Today I am writing my blog on “Bollywood”.

Everyone knows the word “bollywood”

So many youngsters of India want to enter in to bollywood and of course why not? Who doesn’t want to live life a king size? Who doesn’t want fame, money, lots of reporter around him/her are eagerly waiting to take interview etc.?

If I am speaking by my heart even I also would like to work in bollywood. (Don’t laughs at me just ask yourself, you also come to know that you also want to wok in bollywood)

Bollywood doesn’t include only acting or actor. It includes so many works like animation, music (also include background music), singing, writing lyrics of song, choreography, writer, dress designer and many many many more.

Actors are hardly 0.00002% of whole bollywood. Now you can assume that how vast it is?

I like Bollywood because the people are working here worked by them and earn money themselves on their talent. Bollywood is a place where only talent works not people.

Our mentality is that bollywood is worse than even gutter but on the other side it also contributes high flow of cash to Indian GDP. In Mumbai only, around 7, 00,000 people are indulging in bollywood.
Let me share my experience,

We had a Swanand kirkire on our college (lyricist of 3 idiots, Lage raho munnabhai) before few days. He told us that bollywood is the place where you can earn lot money but the thing needed is “TALENT”. If you are talented then gates of bollywood are open for you.

He is lyricist. He told that bollywood has only 5-6 lyricists! The place where more than lacs of people works but hardly 5-6 lyricists. He advised us to come in to bollywood as a lyricist because apart from these 5-6 lyricists there is no one in bollywood who has an ability to write lyrics like Samir, Swanand etc.

And at last the most important thing which I like about bollywood is there is no interference on Government. Neither in a positive way nor in a negative way.

Really this is something on which we can really take proud.

Influence

hello friends...

Just thinking how could we get influenced by small things as I was watching a reality show in T.V. Why a person be thinking about the life of this guy/gal in reality show, their family..I couldn't get it. To it, add the emotional 'drama', and background music..we could feel their pain..support someone, defend something...

Then I was watching some debate in News about the ideologies and the hate politics in mumbai by sena (shiv sena, MNS)...the guy representing MNS/Sena are directly supporting their view..when asked about their use of violence a method of propagating their ideologies..he said that our leaders are just opposing it, we can't stop some of our activist from taking violence..they were not at all taking the responsibility of influencing the young minds!!..

let me ask them a simple question ...if human mind can be influenced to become a killer machine or act as human bomb {jehadi leaders}...can't it be just influenced for act of violence...against the government {read naxalites, kashmiri separists}, against so called migrants {read Shiv sena, MNS}..against race {read recent attacks on Indians in Australia}

Now comes the responsibility of government...is it doing enough to protect the thinking of our citizens..is it acting against these anti-social gentlemen??..or any effective method been devised to divert the minds..How could Sena influence its cadre to be against being called as Indians?? against Sachin...national icon!!

Talking about influence, how could we miss this entire debate of culture, morality, western influence....we had recently heard about moral policing...let me tell my view on it..
Morality can not be forced on someone..
It should be accepted as a respected tool..

for this, T.V, Movies, current globalisation, everything is responsible..we cannot stop it..but we can make our culture more attractive towards the others..or else how could be ISKON, Hindu religion becoming popular outside??...Why not popularise Panchatantra, Bikram betal. Akabar birbal..each one could indirectly influence the young mind towards the good as I have studies those..I know!!

Influence is the key used by many politicians, businessman, people to propagate their agenda..we were bound to be affected by it!!..The only thing the government need is..how effectively it increases the good influence on us and protecting us against the bad.

Is Success Self Defeating ?

The moment we enter the school for the first time, we knowingly or unknowingly enter the mad rat race. Right from the Monday test to the half yearly and finally the end term examinations; we are put under this constant pressure to perform. As we grow, we are made to believe that all that we did earlier was just a small base. Now begins the actual work. When I was about to take my class 10th exams, all the teachers explicitly showcased their expectations. One of them even said, “Whatever you have scored till now holds little importance. In the long run only the score of class 10th will be considered.” This same line was repeated by another teacher of mine when i was about to take the final examination marking the end of the school days. Time flew and in no time i found myself out in this unknown city trying to keep myself together and do what i came here for. Once again it was reiterated that all that i studied in school was only to decide the name of my college. Now they are all history and if i screw up now, my future is doomed.
Well the point which makes me ponder is, “is there a finish line at all?” Does there come a stage in life when I do not have a new race to run sacrificing my present luxuries? Or is life itself a race which ends only with the heart of the individual. Well, if that is true, why do I care to run so fast? If life is nothing but a race, why can’t I transform it into a leisurely walk enjoying the beauty around as I walk past different milestones in my life. Is the absence of this particular feature in our life which makes us crib all the time? I do not know. To be honest I am totally confused. Sometimes I pray, I stop questioning things around me.
A lot of people study hard and make their way up to the top. They begin their journey from may be a small town and go far away from their home to study, to work, to earn, to achieve success. Possibly the reason is because people relate success to happiness. They may to be entirely wrong in the absence of any other aspect in life which we could so closely relate to success. But for an individual who sacrificed a lot of happiness and luxury to work hard and later in life if that is what keeps him away from his family, for whom at the first place everything was done; is not success self defeating ?
A man works day and night to earn a good life for his family and in the process he fails to spend time and love his loved ones. He fails to sit with his parents who sacrificed everything to let this man study and grow. He spends a lot of time away and it often (not always) cripples the fabric of the family bond. The end result may be a broken and unhappy family. Many would attribute it to lack of time management or fate and destiny. Some may blame it on the societal framework while a few conservative raise the issue of a working wife.
But my objective is not to blame and to criticize the system. I am not against the participation in race for I myself am a part of it. May be I am a little scared. May be i am not sure if I will be able to manage my time. May be I am sad about the fact that i will have to work away from my family. Or maybe I am petrified at the thought of being a victim of this self defeating success.
As I am about to step into this corporate world, where people stand tall on the corpses of other people, known and unknown, I can only wonder and wish to achieve success; a state where I am happy and in a position to share the same with my family, my friends and my loved ones. I can only hope to enjoy the race and not just turn blind to the beauty around in the fatal effort to reach the finish line.
May be I am too young to think about all of this... or maybe, it is time I start thinking.
